Apra-IL Webinar: Social Services Prospecting Roundtable
On Tuesday, October 21st, Apra-IL and colleagues from Breakthrough T1D, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Greater Chicago Food Depository convened to discuss life working for their respective organizations, common characteristics of good prospects in the social services space, and what to consider for those looking to make a switch into their industry.
Speaker Bios:
Grace Vigilante, Breakthrough T1D: Grace Vigilante has worked in Development and Fundraising Operations for more than 20 years. For more than 10 years, she has served as Director of Prospect Management and Research at Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. At Breakthrough T1D, Grace is a member of their Philanthropy Information and Analytics team, where she partners with national leadership giving level fundraisers ($100K+) and local chapter staff to identify, qualify and cultivate prospects, and writes and manages national standard operating procedures for the organization.
Jonathan Remmers, Wounded Warrior Project: Jonathan has worked in non-profit fundraising for over a decade with experience ranging from arts & culture to human services and academics. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Prospect Development for Wounded Warrior Project, where he works with a very talented team of researchers and analysts. He is passionate about leveraging the art and science of fundraising to forge human connections and empower donors to meet their philanthropic goals.
Samantha Ford, Greater Chicago Food Depository: Samantha is currently the Senior Manager of Prospect Development and Analytics at the Greater Chicago Food Depository, where she partners with a large team of relationship managers in individual and institutional giving. Previously she worked at The Morton Arboretum and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and has a background in prospect research, portfolio management, database management, and stewardship.
