Amelia Aldred is a lead analyst at the University of Chicago Office Alumni Relations and Development where she specializes in strategic research and communications on giving trends and global philanthropy. Amelia has published numerous articles on nonprofits and fundraising and runs The Philanthropologist, a blog on philanthropy and social science. She has taught seminars on international philanthropy, industrial research, and internal communications at CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) and Apra (Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement). She holds an MA in social sciences from the University of Chicago and a BA in anthropology and sociology from Earlham College.
