Event Description:

This year we are focusing on the hot topic of data analytics and have invited three exciting speakers to help us delve into the world of data! Our program will begin with an exploration of the ever expanding world of data analytics with Josh Birkholz followed by an interactive presentation by the co-authors of Score!, Peter Wylie and Kevin MacDonell.

As a bonus to our main program, we also are offering an opportunity for onsite professional head-shots to spiff up your social/professional networking presence. These will be taken in the morning and are first come first serve so get here early! The cost can be added to your registration fee.

Session 1:

The State of Fundraising Analytics: Josh Birkholz

We've seen an explosion of data science in recent years.  Across every sector, the top companies and organizations pull ever forward by incorporating predictive analytics and business intelligence.  Although analytics is hardly new to fundraising, recent innovations have opened many new possibilities.  In this session, Josh Birkholz, will present proven and experimental applications of data science for today’s nonprofit.

Session 2:

Score! Live and in person: Peter Wylie and Kevin MacDonell

Peter Wylie and Kevin MacDonell, co-authors of “Score! Data-Driven Success for Your Advancement Team”, published earlier this year, present a workshop combining an overview of the key concepts of data mining with a live demonstration of the creation of a predictive model for propensity to give. This demo employs a statistical software program and real data sets provided by workshop attendees. The demo encompasses the full range of modeling tasks, from evaluating the integrity of the data to outputting predictive scores for identifying new major gift prospects.

This is going to be an exciting day and we want YOU there!
